Student can ask question and the teacher has a written record of the question. There will probably be less frustration in a busy classroom when there isn't enough time to ask and answer all verbal questions.

It could also allow more time for instruction because questions could be written and answered. When another student has the same question they can read the answers to question from other students.

I'm not sure how I would use this for my kindergarten and first grade students. It would be useful, though, for parent communication and responses. Students may could respond to things from home with their parents' help.

My students can record what they have done or learned. Then their parents can read it. When a parent asks "What did you do at St. Elmo today?" they can really find out.

How can blogging be useful in my classroom? I can see many ways that I can use blogging in the classroom. (1)It is a good way to inform parents of things that are going on in the classroom. (2) It is a good way to incorporate critical thinking skills. (3) Students can respond to daily questions. I can't continue this because of all the conversation in the classroom. It is distracting to my thought processes.

In my classroom I could use this as an open journal asignment. I could also post a problem and let each person be responsible to going to the computer during their own time in class and responding to the problem. I would also like to use it as a form of communication between parents and myself. What's going on in the class, how I could use their help, learning ideas that could take place in the home, etc!

This will be a great way for my students to respond to questions, discuss classroom topics and/or activities, share photos, and keep parents informed.

The discussion question of the day can be posted and the research topic of the day can be posted.
The classroom schedule can be posted. The cooperative group members and the results of their research can be posted for the other students to comment about.

I think blogging will be a great way to journal topics with my students as well as let their parents know what is going on in school.

I think it could be useful because it is an outlet for the quiet or withdrawn student to be able to
express himself or herself.

It can promote learning by having students discuss classroom work back and forth, giving opinions, etc. This is a great learning tool, because you must know material to be able to discuss it in depth.

Blogging can help a teacher give reminders, etc., so students can keep up with projects, homework, lessons, etc.

Blogging can be used to convey information to band students and parents concerning concerts and other band events. Students may also comment on trips and concerts and post pictures of events.

The Students will be able to read a book, summarize the book and leave a comment on whether or not they would recommend the book for others to read. This can be used as a motivational tool for reading.

Students can view their classroom lessons, and have their questions ready for discussion. This is a great tool to incorported classroom lessons if it is use properly.
